Latest update on the possible misconduct in public office charge

I say at the video:

Good Evening Jas

Over the past few years there have been 2 convictions of Labour Redbridge members, Clrr Mohammed Iqbal and Matthew Goddin and a third, that of Cllr Sam Gould, is expected soon.

Whilst these three events are not connected in any way to you directly, they are concerns your conduct is encouraging law breaking in Redbridge.

When you were accused of sexual misconduct when Leader, you should should have stood down, but stayed in post.

This sent a clear message that Labour did not take allegations of sexual misconduct seriously, a poor message from the party ruling Redbridge Council.

I am also concerned that you have may have committed misconduct in public office. I say that because case law suggests you should have been fined by now for the sub-standard flats and not having a landlord licence.

Any fine may have ended your career as a Labour MP.

As soon as the news broke of your sub-standard flats the Council and you had a duty to send Council housing inspectors around as soon as possible to produce a report of remedial works required together with a second visit to make sure the works had been done.

It is these two visits that could have triggered a fine.

You and Redbridge Council are refusing to say whether these inspections took place. This unacceptable conduct for a law maker and I hope the Information Commissioner's Office makes a ruling about this in due course.

Charges of misconduct in public office can take years to come to court. The police have recently charged people in Liverpool more than 5 years after the allegation of misconduct in public office.

I urge you to stop the speculation and make a statement as soon as possible on this issue.
